Dr. Moreland

Dr. Cait Moreland

Veterinarian

Pets: Tetra, a Catahoula Leopard Dog; Jelly Belly, a Grenadian Pothound; a 24-year-old frog; and many fish.

Dr Moreland is a third generation veterinarian from Aikan, SC. She attended Clemson University for her undergraduate studies and St. George’s University for veterinary school, completing her clinical year at University of Georgia. Her professional interests include dermatology, surgery and preventative care.

In her spare time, she loves painting, fishing, playing volleyball, playing pickleball, traveling, keeping aquariums and hanging out with her two dogs, Tetra and Jelly Belly.

Dr. Nikalina Veno

Veterinarian

Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, Dr. Veno’s love for animals started early- playing “vet” with her brothers and cousins sparked a lifelong passion for animal care. That passion quickly turned into purpose as she began volunteering and working at local shelters and vet clinics, setting her sights on a future in veterinary medicine.

SHe earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University (Go Cyclones!). Her professional interests include prevention care, dermatology, dentistry, feline medicine and shelter medicine. Most of all, she’s passionate about educating pet owners and forming lasting relationships that support lifelong pet health.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Veno enjoys spending time with her beloved dog Marvin and her trio of tuxedo cats; Timmy, Sully and Larry. She also loves exploring outdoors, traveling to new cities and hunting down the best local coffee shops and breweries.

Donna

Donna's Bio
Donna moved to North Carolina from South Carolina three years ago. After many years as a court reporter, Donna went to nursing school. Now, she divides her time between Belmont Animal Hospital caring for animals, and the operating room caring for people. Donna loves caring for all animals but especially enjoys hand-raising orphaned animals. She has two cats, Gristle and Grey, who were orphaned during a hurricane. When not working, Donna spends time with family, sailing, and gardening. She especially enjoys beating her daughter at Scrabble.

Shana

Shana's Bio
Shana is originally from South Florida and has been in the veterinary field since she was 19 years old! She leads our veterinary assistant team and enjoys teaching others in the hospital.
She has a soft spot for senior pets and those with special needs.

Hobbies include; listening to music, throwing impromptu dance parties, reading, playing video games, crocheting and spending time with her family. She is our resident bug enthusiast!

She shares her heart with her dogs, Tilly, Asher and Ganon (special needs frenchie).

Riley

Riley's Bio
Riley is currently a veterinary technician student living out her dreams of working with animals. If it has paws, she is obsessed! She especially loves German Shepherds… She has 5!

When she is not covered in fur, she loves spending time with her family and friends. One of her favorite things to do with family is to travel. She has been to Costa Rica, where she got to feed monkeys in her backyard! You will usually catch her wearing fun socks and she is always making sure we have a good laugh!

Logan

Logan's Bio
Logan is a veterinary assistant with a lifelong passion for animals. SHe shares her life with her two amazing dogs; Moose, a loveable chocolate lab, and Rex, her loyal german shepherd.
She is also a reptile fanatic, especially when it comes to bearded dragons!

Outside of work, you’ll usually find her horseback riding with her herd of eight horses or dreaming about a future career focused solely on equine care. Whether it’s dogs, lizards or horses, animals have always been the heart of who she is!

Michelle

Michelle's Bio
Michelle is a veterinary assistant fueled by coffee, disney magic and an endless love for animals- especially her great dane Cole, who still believes he’s a lap dog.

When she;s not helping pets feel their best, you will find her hanging out with her amazing son, knitting (and untangling yarn) or getting lost in diamond art projects. Proud wife, mom and professional treat dispenser- life is never boring when its full of fur, and a little sparkle!

Skylar

Skylar's Bio
Skylar is a veterinary assistant with a big heart, a creative mind and a soft spot for animals of all kinds. At work, she loves helping pets feel safe and cared for; whether that means gentle hands, a good laugh or a few extra treats (calories don’t count at the vet).

Outside of the clinic, you will find her riding horses, building lego masterpieces or reading with her dog, Oakley by her side. Every day reminds her of how lucky she is to do what she loves, surrounded by creatures that make life brighter.

Erin

Erin's Bio
Erin has been working with animals in various settings since 2017. She started journey at doggie daycares and later had the opportunity to manage a pet resort in Charlotte. After some time she decided to venture into the veterinary field; jumping right into customer service positions at emergency clinics and general practices.

Erin has settled down with her newly wed husband, Diego, who is now working as a Marine Biologist in Alaska and resides in North Carolina between his deployments.

Erin has four fur babies that she loves with all her heart; Hopper (a jack russel mix), Ravioli( a siamese tabby mix), Smudge ( a dilute calico) and Cowboy (a long haired tabby).

Amy

Amy's Bio
Amy Lou graduated from college and followed her heart working in geriatric medicine, home health and pharmacy. After 28 years in the medical field, Amy transitioned into the veterinary field where she could connect the two things she loves; taking care of clients and their fur babies.

Amy is most proud of her three grown children and two grandkids. Amy enjoys spending time with her dogs Nala and Roscoe, and Maine Coon, Frodo. She is most happy spending time with family. Her hobbies include swimming, organizing and decorating.

Amy loves her new career working in the cozy town of Belmont and is excited to learn and grow with BAH!
