Dr. Moreland

Dr. Cait Moreland

Veterinarian

Pets: Tetra, a Catahoula Leopard Dog; Jelly Belly, a Grenadian Pothound; a 24-year-old frog; and many fish.

Dr. Cait Moreland is a third-generation veterinarian from Aiken, South Carolina, following in her father’s and his father’s footsteps. She grew up helping her father in his practice and with their many pets and farm animals. Some of her earliest memories of working with her father are helping with emergencies and surgeries, especially puppy c-sections!

Dr. Moreland completed her undergraduate work at Clemson University and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree at St. George’s University, completing her clinical year at The University of Georgia. After graduation, Dr. Moreland has been working in small animal practices and freelancing at emergency hospitals.

Her professional interests include preventative care, surgery, and dermatology. Dr. Moreland loves getting to know her patients and their families, treating them compassionately, and helping pets live healthy and happy lives.

In her spare time, Dr. Moreland enjoys the outdoors—fishing, hiking, gardening, and playing volleyball – keeping aquariums, painting, and traveling. She also plays a mean game of Scrabble. Dr. Moreland has chosen to build her practice in Belmont because of its small-town feel and to be near friends and family.

Brooklyn

Brooklyn's Bio
Brooklyn was born and raised in Stanley, NC. She graduated with her associate’s degree in veterinary medical technology from Gaston College and is attending Appalachian State University for her bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology. Her favorite things about working in veterinary medicine are building relationships with pets and their owners, expanding her knowledge, and learning new things! In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, hanging out with friends, and spending time outdoors. Brooklyn also loves to hang out with her pets (Marcy the cat, Kirby the ball python, Mochi the leopard gecko, Mabel the Syrian hamster, and her four tree frogs!).

Marley

Marley's Bio
Marley grew up in Charlotte, but a love for adventure led her to pursue an education abroad. She lived in Cambridge, England, while obtaining her bachelor’s in animal behavior. Marley then moved to Belfast, Northern Ireland, to earn her master’s degree in animal behavior and welfare. Her interest in veterinary medicine began through her work as a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, where she worked with injured opossums, squirrels, and rabbits. She is excited to apply her knowledge of animal behavior to the veterinary field, where she endeavors to make nervous animals feel comfortable in the clinic. She is working towards becoming ACAAB (Associate Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist) certified and hopes to one day get her PhD.

Donna

Donna's Bio
Donna moved to North Carolina from South Carolina three years ago. After many years as a court reporter, Donna went to nursing school. Now, she divides her time between Belmont Animal Hospital caring for animals, and the operating room caring for people. Donna loves caring for all animals but especially enjoys hand-raising orphaned animals. She has two cats, Gristle and Grey, who were orphaned during a hurricane. When not working, Donna spends time with family, sailing, and gardening. She especially enjoys beating her daughter at Scrabble.

Tiffanie

Tiffanie's Bio
Tiffanie was born in Charlotte but grew up in Gaston County. She has been a veterinary assistant for ten years, working in general practice and emergency/ICU. Her passion for animals developed when she rescued her first dog in 2013. From that point, she realized she wanted to help more animals and make a difference in their lives, whether for a wellness/sick visit or comforting them as they cross over the rainbow bridge. Her goal is to grow within the hospital, build relationships with the clients/patients, and learn new things as her career progresses. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two sons (Grayson & Josiah), taking her dogs for walks, reading, being outdoors, and doing arts and crafts. She has three dogs: Mugsy (chihuahua), Kaia (pitbull), and Xenos (cane corso). She looks forward to meeting new people and taking care of your pets!!

Jordan

Jordan's Bio
Jordan moved to Charlotte from the Midwest about 4 years ago and recently moved to Belmont in 2023. He started working in the veterinary field as a kennel tech and has worked his way to being a veterinary assistant for the past two years. Jordan’s passion for animals carries over into his personal life, where he has rescued 2 dogs, Bruin and Millie, from local rescues around Charlotte. Jordan has also welcomed his wife’s cat, Olivia, into their crazy family. In his free time, Jordan loves to watch NFL (Go Colts!), go on hikes with his dogs, and listen to old music.
